This is the 3rd post of our 5 part series, giving you a glimpse of the future.
We are developing Topology Optimization specific for practical shipbuilding, and integrating it into the MasterShip Suite. This tool will optimise sectional design of different ships utilising AI algorithms.
What does this mean for shipbuilding? Topology Optimization will translate to vessel structures that are as robust as ever, but significantly lighter in weight. A smart AI based design will lead to increased cost efficiency as well as a more trustworthy design. Starting from the current standard, it will push boundaries towards a state of the art solution.
We are feeding the AI with a wide range of ship designs, allowing the Topology Optimization tool to refine any ship type and use case. Following the user’s input, it will tailor the design to excel at specifically set goals.
