Software developer with AI expertise (full time)
About MasterShip:
The core business of MasterShip is knowledge of naval architecture and work preparation for ships and software development. Based on their experience in shipbuilding since 1986, MasterShip helps shipbuilders to produce ships faster, cheaper and better, using its unique in house developed MasterShip software and its unique MasterShip Project services formula.
Under our brand Mastership software we offer premium AutoCAD based software for the shipbuilding industry. MasterShip software makes use of the latest 3D technology to model a ship’s structure and installations on board.
At the moment we have a small team for software development and we would like to expand our manpower with a software developer with expertise in AI.
Issue at hand:
After our internal software development for shipbuilding since 1986 we are currently entering the 3rd generation of our CAD software: the generation that leverages the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Our future AI innovation plans are recently empowered by development within the Maritime MasterPlan subsection Digital Cooperations in the Netherlands. We are currently looking for a passionate & highly skilled AI expert to support and enhance our ongoing innovation in this field.
Next to your contribution to our AI projects, you will also participate in the day-to-day activities of our shipbuilding software development.
Tasks:
- AI Project:
- Rule based development;
- LLM analyzing of documents;
- Development of AI-inference engine;
- Integration with AutoCAD functionalities.
- Software development:
- Software project management;
- Client and functional requirements:
- Implementation and test plans;
- Hands on developing of functionalities;
- System documentation;
- Customer support & bug fixing;
- Assisting colleagues in other domains of the company;
- Attend company and software department meetings landscape.
Function requirements
- You are confident you can execute the tasks above, independent project responsibility;
- Bachelor or master degree or equal experience in software development or exact science;
- At least 5 year experience in leading software development projects and hands on development;
- Expert in different domains of Artificial Intelligence (Rule based systems, expert systems, knowledge base systems, LLM);
- High level experience in C++ | .NET | Python;
- High level experience with CAD systems, preferable with AutoCAD;
- High level of interdisciplinary working;
- Affinity with structural or maritime engineering;
- You can be self supporting and like to work in a small team;
- Fluently (Dutch and) English spoken;
- Good communication-, commercial- and goal focusing skills.
