About MasterShip:

The core business of MasterShip is knowledge of naval architecture and work preparation and CADCAM software
development for ships. Based on our experience in shipbuilding since 1986, MasterShip helps shipbuilders to
produce ships faster, cheaper and better, using its unique in house developed MasterShip software and its unique
MasterShip Project services formula.

Under our brand Mastership software we offer premium AutoCAD based software for the shipbuilding industry.
MasterShip software makes use of the latest 3D technology to model a ship’s structure and ship installations.
Our latest challenge is implementing artificial intelligence into our software.

MasterShip is a specialist in work preparation for ships. For our engineering projects we focus on the of basic,
detailed and production design for (mega)yachts, work vessels and other commercial ships. At our China office
in Wuhan we do the execution of our projects while in the Netherlands we do the client contacts, the project
management and also hand-on things to speed up the process.

Issue at hand:

Actually we do have a vacancy for a department manager who can also act hands-on as naval architect/engineer.

Tasks:

  • End responsibility for quality and budget for the execution of basic-, detailed- and production design for our
    projects.
  • Hands-on solving problems and execution part of the work.
  • Communication with our clients on running projects and new project opportunities
  • Communication with our production office in China.
  • Contribution and project feedback for improving our working methods and our MasterShip software
    development.

Function requirements

  • You are confident you can execute the tasks above;
  • Bachelor or master degree or equal experience in naval architecture;
  • At least 8 year experience in comparable jobs.
  • High level experience with CAD systems especially with AutoCAD;
  • You can be self supporting and like to work in a small team;
  • Fluently Dutch and English spoken;
  • Good communication-, commercial-, cooperation- and goal focusing skills;
