Creating insightful data is a key ingredient of a solid preparation. With so many people collaborating on a single shipbuilding project, data is first and foremost about communication. Miscommunication leads directly to rising overhead costs.
When it comes to ships and yachts, the bulk of the data is created in MasterShip Software during the design phase. We are highly aware of our responsibilities, and strive for concise and clear data output. This must be an ongoing mission, as developing technology brings new possibilities to test and review (but not necessarily implemented).
What helps us greatly, is the feedback from the people relying on our data throughout the shipbuilding chain. Of course we keep in touch… but there are certainly chances for us to streamline the feedback process.
