Petter has a clear vision on the future of shipbuilding. “I firmly believe international trade is a vital part of prosperity. Uninterrupted flow of goods is crucial. Our challenge now is to maximise the efficiency of shipping. I am excited about the future generation of ships: highly automated, optimised for economical operation and propelled by clean energy.”

Petter has been with us since 2013. He was brought along by a classmate, and was intrigued by MasterShip software. “Still one of the highlights of my work is making construction designs using TOM.” If acquaintances ask, he keeps it simple and describes his job as working on production design.

In reality, his day to day as a senior is more varied. “It’s my task to oversee the design process. I check drawings and deal with comments. I communicate with the project leader in The Netherlands.” Petter’s motto is: there is no best, only better. “I enjoy improving our team and growing as a person.”
