A quick word with Prithika Ganesamoorthy, Mastershipโs skilled and experienced Naval Architect
ย
Prithika G. has found her home in The Netherlands. It took quite a journey to settle down in the Eindhoven region. Letโs track back!
Prithika was looking for a job in the Eindhoven region to be closer to her fiance (now husband). So today, she is Mastershipโs skilled and experienced Naval Architect. Parallel to that, Prithika fulfills the role of Project Manager and is developing her management skills.ย
MasterShip isnโt her first employer in Europe. She made the move to Eindhoven from Mรถnchengladbach (Germany), where she mainly worked on heavy lifting machines and marine transportation. She was at her place there too, adapting quickly to German culture and customs, as well as building up a circle of friends.ย ย
Even before landing in Europe, Prithika was already well travelled. She worked in Goa in naval architecture for three years, did internships in Chennai, and studied in Visakhapatnam at the Indian Maritime University. These may all be cities in India, but culturally they are worlds apart.ย
India is an incredibly culturally diverse country. Consider there are 14 languages spoken by more than a million people, and 19,500 languages and dialects in total. English is used as a connecting language. After growing up in the south of India, every move Prithika made was like settling in a different country.
At MasterShip, we see her management potential. Her engineering knowhow is unquestionable. People describe her as very pleasant to work with: honest and cheerful. And on top of that, Prithika is a natural at cooperating with people from all cultures. Thatโs an important skill to have in our worldwide shipping industry.ย
Prithika: โWorking at MasterShip is a perfect fit for me. I enjoy a diversity of engineering tasks I fulfill and I am grateful about the chances I get to shape my career. In the coming years, I will focus on learning the Dutch language and developing my communication skills.โ
