NC translates all your parts into production information. In connection with PARTS and Organiser, it nests the parts efficiently and guarantees problem free control of all types of cutting machines.

 

Nesting of parts

NC nests large numbers of parts in several plates simultaneously. Standard or remnant plates are selected from the external SQL database Organiser. To create the tightest part nesting you can nest in four ways: automatically, semi automatically and manually or choose a combination.

The unique nesting algorithm is expecially developed to handle complex shapes typical in shipbuilding. It can nest small parts in cut outs of larger parts to avoid material waste.

By minimizing the waste percentage and the re-use of remnant plates, NC realises important savings in material and cost.

NC also nests parts in wooden plates like moulds for expansions and parts for interiors.  

 

Defining cutting order

After nesting NC determines the cutting order and in-lead direction of the cutting machine automatically or manually. An option for cutting bridges is available.

Ship Assistant is a module that automates several repeat tasks that occur in projects with a larger number of plates.

During creation of the cutting order, inleads of the burning torch are added at 90º. Optimization can be done automatically but manual modification of inleads is always possible. 

 

Postprocessing of  nested plates

NC generates the final cutting, marking, plotting or milling code. When typical shipbuilding curves are to be cut, intermediate points are automatically interpolated. This ensures that cut lines remain fairing lines.

A simulation of the NC code carries out a final control to prevent incorrect cutting, plotting or milling. The program also provides cutting, marking and rapid-line length information.

 

Generating reports with Organiser

A burning template is generated for each plate providing process information for the machine operator.

Typical reports of Organiser include the total weight of a specific material used, all parts from a production unit of the ship, all plates with their nested parts, cutting and marking lengths and waste percentage.
